PHP & PHP2 [Pharmaceutical sterile stainless steel centrifugal pump]

The PHP2 single stage, stainless steel centrifugal pumps are Packo's showpiece for the pharmaceutical industries.

Based on the FP2 model (for sanitary applications in general) the construction has been adapted to meet the even higher demands in a/p pure water-, pharmaceutical CIP/SIP- and WFI-installations.

The PHP2 range is available up to 100 m3/h / 440 US.GPM - 110 m / 370 ft - 22 kW / 30 hp.

The most noble materials
  • All parts in contact with the medium are AISI 316L/DIN 1.4404 or better. Other materials, e.g. duplex or low ferrite content, are available.
  • Materials that are not in contact, e.g. the adapter flange, motor base and motor shroud, are also made of stainless steel.
The best surface finish
  • All stainless steel parts are degreased, pickled, passivated and electropolished according to the Packo procedure POS-ADND-FLEP1008; All parts in contact have a guaranteed surface roughness up to less then 0.4 µm Ra. This offers an extremely low microroughness resulting in a highly increased resistance to corrosion, adhesion and the ultimate bacteriological purity.
Sterile design
  • Crevice free design with absence of bacteria traps.
  • Easy to clean (CIP) and sterilise (SIP).
  • Fully drainable.
  • design meeting the EHEDG specifications (EHEDG tested and certified).
  • Sterile mechanical seal ideally suited to handle liquids with poor lubrication properties (e.g. WFI). Special seal materials and configurations are available.
  • Sterile fittings
Functional design
  • Modular design using standard components
  • Solid construction
  • PHP2 pumps stand for the optimum balance between sterile design, reliability, efficiency and NPSH.
Documentation
  • For all PHP2 pumps Packo provides FDA, DIN EN 10204/2.2 or 3.1.B. material certification and certified measurements of performance and surface roughness.
  • Certification is also available on ferrite, NPSH, pressure test, noise level reading, etc.
