Packo has enlarged its pump range for the food industry with a new stainless steel rotary lobe pump, the BOA-Rotorflo R series. The pump range contains 9 models with flows up to 100 m³/h and heads up to 15 bar. At present we are working on an extension up to 250 m³/h.

 
The pump has a particularly robust construction, with very large shafts in duplex, conical bearings and a short distance between the lobes and the first bearing.

For the hydraulic design the cleanability stood first, which is the trade mark of Packo.
The pump has no blind spots and is Ehedg certified. The pump meets the highest hygienical requirements of the food industry.

Basic material is stainless steel 316L, all seal materials are FDA approved. Cleanability and corrosion resistance are improved by an electrolytically polished surface.
The BOA-Rotorflo R-series are very suitable for pumping viscous media and fluids which are shear sensitive. For this several lobe types can be used dependent on the physical characteristics of the fluids that have to be pumped.
The pumps can be delivered with several mechanical seals, going from simple or double mechanical seals to packings.
